I am going Over The Edge to raise funds (and my heart rate) to support over 55,300 Special Olympics Texas athletes…over 7,000 here in the Dallas area. I will rappel down 15 stories at the Bank Tower at Oak Cliff on either November 4 or 5, and I need your help.
The Special Olympics is a great cause! When I lived in Minnesota I had volunteered to help out with my local Special Olympics athletes and what a powerful experience that was for me. I am also a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority which our motto is Aspire, Seek, Attain plus the Special Olympics is one of our National Philanthropic Partners.
Lets Go Over the Edge!
This challenge will also show my 5 beautiful children that their mom “CAN” and “WILL” rappel 15 stories. I love my children dearly but I don’t want them to remind me that I didn’t accomplish this challenge. For people who know my older ones, they will never leave me alone if I do not accomplish this.
My goal is to raise $1,200 or more in the next 40 days (before I get cold feet).
Help send me Over The Edge by making a contribution to Special Olympics Texas on my behalf. The easiest way to support my rappel is to make a secure online donation by going to my personal fundraising page.
This may seem like a challenge of a life-time, but it pales in comparison to the challenges Special Olympics Texas athletes face and overcome each day.
Thank you in advance for your support and encouragement.
